I’ve had a passion for drawing and creating letterforms since childhood. However, it wasn’t until after completing my graphic design education—when I began making chalk signs for local restaurants—that I started to consider it as a profession. Shortly afterward, I was introduced to sign painting, which became the focus of my professional life and led to the founding of Austin Lettering in 2016. Today, I work as a graphic designer while also maintaining a freelance practice under the name Austin Lettering.
I’ve always been drawn to the nuanced sensibility of handmade work. The human connection inherent in hand lettering not only adds visual interest but also helps tell a story more effectively. Every creation begins with a hand-rendered approach, then is refined into a final product tailored to the client’s needs, often through digital formatting when necessary.
In addition to custom design and sign work, I offer original artwork for sale through my online store. I enjoy experimenting with diverse colors, styles, and mediums. My artwork is both a means of personal expression and a way to connect with others, and I welcome commissions for custom pieces.
